School Missions

School ministry is an important part of our work as Kenya Youth for Christ. Our evangelistic programs focus on preaching the message of Christ through encouraging social transformation. Our message mainly centered on recovery from drug use, sexual purity and gender-based violence. These are topics that most affect the youth in areas we visit, and the message of Christ through their situation deeply speaks to them, with many of them inviting us back to keep ministering to them.

One remarkable story is that of Maria, an eighth-grade student at Vithunguni Primary School, who had been trapped in an unhealthy relationship with the man responsible for her pregnancy. Believing she had no choice but to accept his advances and endure mistreatment, our counseling sessions helped her realize that having a child should not compel her to persist in sin. Maria surrendered her life to Christ, displaying such enthusiasm that she requested continued support and guidance from our team beyond the mission.

Our mission empowered young girls like Maria to recognize their autonomy and refuse to perpetuate sinful behavior due to past experiences, thereby turning their lives around from that point.
